A big news for a big-budget movie. I report what HitFix says on its site: “Bradley Cooper is now one of the guys most likely to don the suit and slip on the power ring as The Green Lantern for director Martin Campbell”.
So Bradley is negotiations for the lead role of Hal Jordan and this seems a really big goal for his career. If you are not particulary skilled in comics like me, have a look at this page on Wikipedia to see what we are talking about. Director Martin Campbell is mostly known for his two James Bond movies (GoldEye and Casino Royale) and the two Zorro movies with Banderas and Zeta-Jones; he also directed Vertical Limit in 2000.
A good news at last! Deo gratias! Paramount released the trailer for the pluri-postponed Case 39. The movie has been shot in Vancouver in the second half of 2006, but its release date was postponed so many times that I can’t remember the exact number. Anyway, no date has been fixed yet. Maybe it will open in US theaters this summer. Case 39 centers on Emily, an idealistic social worker (Renée Zellweger), who saves an abused 10-year-old girl (Jodelle Ferland) from her parents only to discover that the girl is not as innocent as she thinks. Bradley Cooper plays as Douglas J. Ames, a detective with which Emily falls in love. The movie actually looks good and pretty frightening. In the trailer there’s a really creepy scene with Bradley pulling out from his ear an alive blowfly or whatever it is: one of my worst nightmares. That makes me shiver.
Bradley Cooper is listed as one of the 2009 World Narrative Feature Competition jurors at current Tribeca Film Festival (April 22 – May 3). A short interview has been released on the Tribeca official site. Bradley talks about his “heroes” in real life and says that one of the books he highly recommends is Yates’ Revolutionary Road (and I, who have read it a few years ago, can not do anything but agree with him).
And now a few images. Bradley attended the world premiere of latest Woody Allen’s movie “Whatever Works” on Wednesday and he was at the Chanel Dinner on Thursday.
Here we are. The poster of one of the most eagerly-anticipated comedy of the year. From left to right the three lead characters of The Hangover are: Zack Galifianakis, our Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms.
The movie will open in theaters on June 5th.
There is a bunch of new stills from The Hangover. The movie will hit theaters on June 5th, starring Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha.
The Hangover isn’t set for release until June 5th, but WB is already thinking about a second movie. There are visibly good expectations and The Hangover is been testing extremely well and a screening of the trailer in ShoWest had the crowds in stitches.
Variety reports that the studio has made deals to reunite the original cast (Bradley Cooper too) and contracted with Todd Phillips to direct the sequel. The studio would like filming to begin late in the year.
As announced, Bradley Cooper won the 2009 Comedy Star of the Year at the 2009 ShoWest. The award cerimony took place in Las Vegas on Thursday April 2nd. That award is a truthful recognition of Bradley’s talent as an actor and, obviously, all of us are happy for and proud of him.
The day after, Bradley celebrated his victory at The Bank Nightclub, always in Las Vegas. You can see a picture of that event below.
